The Resident Company

The Resident Company

The Resident Company is a group of 45-75 energetic performers ages 6-20 who tour Kids Who Care's original works. The audition company performs locally, nationally and internationally from September-May each year.

This touring company performs close to 40 times per year. Each performance is either a full or adapted version of an original Kids Who Care production. Locally, the Resident Company performs on its home stage at the Scott Theater, plus at schools, galas, corporate luncheons, community events and local conventions throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

In addition to rehearsing and touring, this elite group receives musical theatre training for five hours or more each week. The curriculum is specifically designed for the unique needs and talents of the company. Classes include Voice & Diction, Dance, Vocal Production, Acting Technique, Improvisation, Video Production, Stage Combat, and Shakespeare.

KWC also produces an annual study tour with the Resident Company. Actors perform in professional venues, train with professional artists and represent DFW as ambassadors. Past study tours include: New York City, Los Angeles, Reggio Emilia, Italy, Trier, Germany, Nashville, Orlando, and Chicago.
